As the number of content pieces grow, tracking comments, social engagement and links to them become increasingly complicated if you have to visit these sites or run a Yahoo Site Explorer search on all of them. You could use a ORM solution (like Radian6) to help you with some of it, but these solutions are really not developed to manage that.<br />I probably don't have to expand on why you would like to track content on 3rd party sites.<br /><br />The tool necessary to do that is fairly simple in my opinion, as all the information is readily available.
